PAKISTANI MANGOES MOST POPULAR VERITIES

The main production areas are Sindh and Punjab. Many varieties are produced in Pakistan. Mango season in Pakistan extends for five months starting from mid-May in Sindh to late September in Punjab. In terms of production Pakistan is rated as a 5th top producing country and 7th top exporting country.

1) SINDHRI 

Sindhri is a leading variety of mango from Sindh with its origins in a town of the same name in Mirpur Khas District. It is a large, oval-shaped  with yellowish skin, is low in fiber, and is highly aromatic.

2) CHAUNSA 

Chaunsa is mainly produced in Multan Region in Pakistan. This variation of mango was initially made prominent by Sher Shah Suri in the Indian subcontinent. It has a rich yellow pulp and greenish yellow skin Delicious in taste & medium fiber in pulp excellent for pulp industry.

3) RED KIND ( LAL BADSHAH )

Red king is the name given to a yellow mango with a slight red blush. As the fruit ripens, the yellow becomes deeper. The fruit has a slightly irregular shape. The flesh is quite firm, has some fiber and is sweet without being particularly flavour some.

4) ANWAR RATOL

Anwar Ratol is popular due to high flavor and abundant of juice. It is smaller in size, heavy pulp full of juice, skin medium thick, pulp is firm and fibreless, can be cut off in slices, flavor very pleasant and very sweet taste. The season of Anwar Ratol starts from mid of July to August.

5) DASHERI 

Pakistani Dasheri mango is hands-down much sweeter,  Mango lovers are very sensitive about this variety and it is steeped in tradition in Northern India and Pakistan. Early in ripening with heavy bearing almost available at every farm throughout Punjab.

6) LANGRA

Langra one of the most popular   verity in Punjab. Available from May to July, Langra is greenish and its size varies from medium to large. Its fat oval shape is iconic, fiber-less flesh, dark yellow and has a sweet aroma.Regular fruiting with good yield, Scanty fiber in pulp & under peel, Produce good crop in salty soil.

 

EXPORT PAKISTANI MANGOES

Exporting mangoes involves complying with international regulations and standards. Complete various documents such as a bill of lading, phytosanitary certificates, and certificates of origin. Mangoes are transported via air or sea, depending on the destination. Air transport is preferred for faster delivery and to ensure freshness.

HARVESTING

Timing

Mangoes in Pakistan are usually harvested from late March to early October, depending on the variety. Different varieties have different harvesting times.

Mature Stage

Mangoes are harvested when they are mature but not overripe. The fruit should be firm and show good color.

Harvesting Method

Mangoes are typically hand-picked from the trees to avoid bruising and damage.

Available 1kg, 3kg, 5kg,  7kg and 10kg packed in specially designed corrugated boxes on regular basis’s. The buyer’s specific requirements can also be entertained.
